अवतार, avatāra is derived from the Sanskrit roots ava (down) and tṛ (to cross over) and means "descent, alight” and refers to the embodiment of a spirit or a superhuman being.

Literally an avatar is then a body plus a released soul.

practically it is your bodyscan made with a device app plus your private brand created from your spiritual essence.

it means that to produce your garments, you must share your Bodyscan file OBJ and your private brand’s Logos files JPEG.

bottom line: it is just yourself the only one who can create your avatar! but if you like, we can guide you through methods and apps to do it at the best practice available.

your digital twin

making a digital copy of your body is now possible for everybody! stand and stare at the camera(s)

the accuracy is granted if you use a dedicated hardware device, but at the moment it is still expensive and hard to find; you can use a mobile app but remember the output must be the .obj file with the 3D model of your body

if you use a dedicated mobile app, or a webapp, you must follow in a maniacal way the app instructions for taking a perfect selfie;

you can either process your avatar in app by yourself or just share it with brand privée (it will have blurred face for privacy) and we will edit your avatar on your photo.

IMPORTANT: you must certify your avatar following instructions on the body measurements form by taking your real body measurements with a soft tape as it is fundamental to design correct patterns for your garments.

you can use some hardware device or mobile apps to obtain the OBJ scan file of your body and certify it confirming the accuracy of your basic body measurements: it is mandatory to get a good bodyscan approved by yourself.

As an option, brand privée might provide you an access to any 3rd party mobile app with AI based 3D modelling engine to transform your full body selfie into a 3D body model.

bodyscan certification

it is mandatory that you cross-check the measurements of your digital bodyscan with your real ones, as most mistakes can happen if you did not take your selfie with the correct position (arms too much forward or not straight, back inclined, too much air in your breast enlarging it too much).

relax, it is definitely not needed the precision of a swiss watch, moreover your body is not static and all software are using their algorithms.

try to take your bodyscan again if you see a big discrepancy with your real measurements; share the bodyscan as it is satisfactory and signal any significant discrepancy with the real body measurements, like for breast circumference, arms and legs length

TrueToForm does not collect or store photographs or videos of scanned users. Instead, this application collects silhouette and depth sensor data in order to scan your body and generate a 3D body model.

Every user maintains full control over who they choose to share their Avatar with. Only those that you've chosen to share your Avatar with will have access to your Avatar and its associated body measurements. The Avatar output that is shared and viewed is a fully anonymized 3D body model that does not capture facial features
